1. Washing

• Hand wash only in cold water (max 30°C/86°F).

• Use mild, pH-neutral detergent (e.g., baby shampoo or silk-specific wash).

• Do not soak. Gently swirl for 2–3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

2. Drying

• Press out water gently; never wring or twist.

• Roll in a clean towel to absorb moisture.

• Lay flat on a drying rack away from direct sunlight/heat.

• Never tumble dry.

3. Ironing

• Iron inside-out while slightly damp using the lowest heat setting (silk mode).

• Place a cotton cloth between the iron and silk to prevent shine marks.

• Avoid steam or sprays; moisture may leave stains.

4. Storing

• Store folded loosely in breathable fabric (cotton/muslin) or acid-free tissue paper.

• Avoid plastic bags (traps moisture).

• Keep in a cool, dry place; use cedar blocks to deter moths.

5. Stain Removal

• Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth.

• For oil stains: sprinkle talcum powder, wait 15 mins, then brush off.

• Never rub vigorously—consult a specialist for stubborn stains.

6. Precautions

• ❗ Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray, or sweat.

• ❗ Do not bleach or use enzyme-based detergents.

• ❗ Hang or fold carefully to prevent snags on jewelry/rough surfaces.
